    ARTG Intended Purpose A portable electronic device designed to automatically detect cardiac arrhythmias (ventricular fibrillation/pulseless ventricular tachycardia) in a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) patient, after which it automatically activates defibrillation of the heart through application of electrical shocks to the chest surface.
